Create an Apple Developer Account

Before generating the certificate, you must have an active account in the Apple Developer Program.

Steps to Register

1. Go to the Apple Developer Program page and click on Enroll.

2. Log in with your Apple ID.

   • If you don't have one, you will need to create an account from the Apple ID page.

3. Review the program information and conditions.

4. Accept the terms and click on Continue.

5. Complete the information for:

   • Company

   • or individual account (as applicable).

6. Make the payment for the annual fee (currently 99 USD / year).

Once this process is completed, you will have access to the necessary development and certification tools.

Create an API Key in App Store Connect

With the active developer account, the next step is to generate an API Key, necessary for Omniwallet to interact with Apple Wallet services.

Generate the API Key

1. Log in to App Store Connect.

2. In the top menu, go to Users and Access.

3. Select the Keys tab.

4. Click the + button to create a new API Key.

5. Configure the key:

   • Name: for example, Omniwallet API Key

   • Access Level: select App Store Connect API

6. Click on Generate.

7. Download the generated .p8 file.

⚠️ Important
The .p8 file can only be downloaded once. Store it in a safe place, as you will not be able to retrieve it again.

Upload the Certificate to the Omniwallet Dashboard

Once the API Key is generated, you must upload it to Omniwallet to enable Apple Wallet card management.

Upload the API Key to Omniwallet

1. Log in to your Omniwallet account.

2. Go to Card → Apple Wallet Certificate from the main menu.

3. Locate the field to upload the .p8 file.

4. Click on Upload File and select the downloaded file.

5. Save the changes.

Final Result

Once these steps are completed:

• Omniwallet will be able to issue and manage digital cards in Apple Wallet.

• Customers will be able to add their card directly to Apple Wallet.

• The loyalty experience becomes more accessible, immediate, and omnichannel.
